Kellogg Innovation Marketing Director - Natural & Insurgent in Solana Beach, California

As Innovation Marketing Director, you’ll be leading a five-person team to deliver our new product strategy across the portfolio of brands: RXBAR, Kashi, Bear Naked, and Pure Organic. You’re the kind of person who wants to create the future and has several examples of vision casting, mobilizing a team, and bringing new ideas to market that deliver tangible results.

You look for ways to strengthen the organization by being a point of inspiration for Food Culture, Wellness Trends, and have a healthy obsession for creating an environment that generates ideas grounded in Strategy. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Deliver the Results – Deliver breakthrough, sustainable innovation. Pushes beyond the status quo. Anchors in strategy, prioritizing resources, and manages plant trial funds accordingly.

  • Strengthen the Organization – Coach and Develop high-performing marketing talent on the Innovation team to achieve professional growth. Mobilize cross-functional teams, fuel a food culture and wellness trends.

  • Be Strategic and Analytical – Insights and data-driven. Capable of contributing at the strategic level and willing to help at the tactical level. Consumer-centric and naturally curious with a sense for solving problems that others may not realize exist.

  • Create the Future – Shape a new product pipeline and foundational strategies for the next 3 plus years to ensure the long-term health of our brands.

    YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

    Required:

  • Strong knowledge of CPG marketing fundamentals

  • Strong project management & cross-functional team building

  • Strong leadership & communication skills, both written and verbal plus the ability to perceive and present information both analytically and creatively, to all levels of the organization

  • A strong strategic mindset that translates to business results

  • A track record of creative drive and a passion for nurturing great ideas that cut through the clutter to bring a fresh take to the market

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization to deliver results

  • Nielsen/IRI/SPINs or similar market analysis database to drive business decisions and generate insights to understand consumer behavior

  • Strong knowledge of insights, ROI, RGM, P&L

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a servant mindset and a passion for winning

  • Belief in the power of food to make a positive change in people and the world around us

    This role reports to the Vice President of Marketing for our Natural and Insurgent category.
