Kellogg Labor Relations Advisor in Rome, Georgia

Do you enjoy problem solving, driving employee engagement and working with a team? As a Labor Relations Advisor, you will play key role in Human Resources Department at the Rome Plant: working to drive employee engagement and playing a key role in employee accountability. You will also interface with the Plant Staff including Supervisors, Managers, Generalist/Schedulers and Hourly employees as appropriate. Excited for what lies ahead?

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Set the Pace – You’ll drive the overall management of Employee Relations activities for the plant including: Handling employee complaints, employee grievances, employee discipline, employee investigations and promoting and expanding positive employee relationships on-site.

  • Collaboration is Key – You’ll serve as liaison between Site HR Manager, Kellogg North America Manufacturing Business Unit HRBP and Global Business Services (GBS) as appropriate.

  • Fresh Thinking – You’ll partner with front line supervisors in HR policy, conflict resolution, relationship building, employee/labor relations, etc. which will require a high level of discretion and independent operation. We’ll ask you to provide policy refreshment & employee relations training for plant leadership as well.

  • Tools for Success – Driving manager and employee adoption of HR technology, service delivery model and programs. Redirects HR inquiries to the most efficient and effective resource (technology, service center, etc.)

  • Agility – You’ll assist with other HR Generalist activities not defined including employee engagement activities, crew scheduling, labor relations meetings, etc. Your attention to detail will be critical!

    YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

    Required:

  • High school diploma with significant manufacturing experience

  • Experience in the Human Resources field

  • Experience working in a union environment

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Data analytic skills

  • Flexible working hours including extended hours & weekends on an as-needed basis

  • High level of accountability, creditability & courage to drive crucial conversations

  • Attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively

    Bonus Points:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in HR or a related field

  • General knowledge of food industry and manufacturing practices

  • Experience working closely with union representatives

  • Proven history of successful people management

  • Experience using Kronos/Ceridian

  • Experience using SAP
