Kellogg Manufacturing Reliability Site Lead in Pikeville, Kentucky

As the Continuous Improvement Lead on the Kellogg manufacturing team in our Pikeville plant, we want you to take a new approach on what otherwise might be status quo. If you are an outside the box thinker and love to take an active approach in positive change, we need you to drive overall plant efficiency to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), deliver cost savings through building capability in KWS (Kellogg Work Systems) methodologies and a have and drive a continuous improvement mindset throughout the facility.

Working closely with Plant leadership and the KWS Center of Excellence, you’ll inspire and direct your teams, creating meaningful connections with employees at all levels of the organization.

This little town is known for its annual “Hillbilly Days” hosted by the Shriners, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the world.   • Tools for Success - Leading the Phase Progression Campaign for KWS through coaching the KWS center of excellence (COE) leaders and members to maintaining a balance between short term business delivery and longer-term strategic priorities along with driving cost ideations and action plans to achieve the facilities goals.

  • Drive Change with Continuous Improvement Efforts- Driving High-Value Projects, tracking the pipeline of identified projects for visibility and identifying process inefficiencies and sources of loss. Coordinating/facilitating activities using cross-functional resources to eliminate and identified inefficiencies and losses.

  • Strategize to Win - Continually collaborating with hourly personnel and supervisors to identify and troubleshoot chronic and sporadic losses through data analysis

  • Impact Results - Extending the use of KWS improvement tools within Quality, Safety, and Food Safety, supporting the Manufacturing Reliability process, driving standard work efforts and assisting in the annual budgeting process

  • Empower Efficiency with a New Angle- Building capability in the Reliability Maintenance COE (Center of Excellence) team to effectively plan, schedule, and execute work. Installing and sustaining the Breakdown Elimination and equipment classification systems. Additionally, Tracking sources of loss, improvements efforts and educates employees along with communicating progress

  • Empower Teams - Training and coaching KWS leadership and management skills for all plant employees and actively supporting the teams in the KWS/MR activities coordinating closely with Regional KWS/MR Directors and assuring compliance to Corporate KWS Standards



  • A passion for improvement and thinking outside the box!

  • Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, KWS, IWS, HPO)

  • Exceptional ability to influence and lead cross functional teams across all levels of the organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • HS Diploma/GED and experience in Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or technical or business field

  • Demonstrated ability to plan work and manage priorities while problem-solving

  • Strong demonstrated ability to manage complexity
