Kellogg IT Operations Analyst – Infrastructure / Network in OAK BROOK, Illinois

We have an opening for you to grow with us as an IT Network Operations Analyst – Integrated Delivery Services Infrastructure in our Battle Creek, MI or Oak Brook, IL location. This critical role will assist with the support, maintenance and improvement of the Kellogg Infrastructure that includes server, network, Database and Data Center globally. You will be working with the broader IT organization to align the infrastructure initiatives across multiple groups, stakeholders and regions.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Tracking and monitoring of IT Services usage, KPIs, SLAs and other quality metrics to ensure in scope infrastructure services compliancy especially in the network area

  • Troubleshoot, assist and mentor team in resolving wired and wireless network related incidents

  • Identify updates and investments to keep IT solutions relevant to business

  • Work with business to eliminate/minimize any impact of infrastructure operations including planned maintenance, restoring services, project implementations

  • Identifying infrastructure improvements areas and work with cross functional teams to remediate and improve them

  • Escalating and communicating issues and risks when necessary

  • Adhering to all policies, procedures and standards (including platform security, change management and audit processes)

  • Manage vendors, MSP’s and other IT teams to ensure the delivery of quality service

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • A solid understanding of network concepts and troubleshooting related to switching, routing, firewalls, F5, DHCP and wireless infrastructure (Cisco & Aruba) locally and remotely

  • Wired and Wireless Networking Support experience in an enterprise environment

  • Technical knowledge of Infrastructure services such as: Network, Storage, Backup, AWS, Unix/Linux, VMware ESX, Windows Server, or Database

  • Reporting, Documentation and Analytical skills

  • Experience managing and interacting with vendors and MSP’s

  • Continuous improvement mentality

  • Great customer experience focus

  • Excellent communication skills, spanning written, verbal, and presentation areas

  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify, analyze, communicate and resolve issues

  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team

  • Interpersonal skills for building great relationships within IT, stakeholders, vendors and customers

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Experience working in a Global IT organization

  • Relevant Infrastructure Certifications, i.e. Aruba/Cisco, AWS, VCP, MCSE

  • Knowledge of Workplace Technologies like Office 365, Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, SCCM

  • Experience working with formal project management methodologies, ITIL, Agile
