Kellogg SR. MANAGER, CONTRACT MANUFACTURING in Michigan

In this role, you will lead as a Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing for Kellogg North America. You will manage, develop, and maintain Contract Manufacturing supplier relationships and have the opportunity to influence strategy for operational excellence within our extensive supply chain network. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Executing Contract Manufacturing (Co-man) Strategies – With your owner’s mindset, you will be driving comprehensive strategy execution for the assigned food platforms and associated Co-man locations. You will be providing operational and Procurement execution oversight for a set of Contract Manufacturing Supplier relationships and Product Platforms.

  • Budget Responsibility – You will have accountability towards developing and maintaining annual Cost of Production (COP) Budget for assigned locations.

  • Business Growth – It’s about playing to win. You will be supporting assigned business growth initiatives, such as Supply Chain Requests (SCR), Product Development Requests (PDR), and Packaging Work Requests (PWR), from feasibility analysis through ongoing production.

  • Relationship Building – We believe in the power of people, so you will be maintaining the relationships with the contract manufacturing partners. Plan on setting the strategic direction and serving as the escalation point between Kellogg and the Co-man locations.

    YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field plus extensive experience working in a Supply Chain capacity or related field

  • Ability to travel 20-50%

  • Strong leadership, project management and planning skills

  • Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Proven track record and ability to work with all levels of management

  • Solid understanding of supplier relationship management

    Bonus Points:

  • Manufacturing, engineering or R&D experience

  • Strategic sourcing experience

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing cost savings and/or process improvements through continuous improvement or other LEAN programs

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing P&L’s

  • Track record of commercializing innovation

  • Familiar with best practices for integrated business and capacity planning

  • Familiar with capital investment scope development, financial analysis and execution

  • Strategic thinker with attention to detail
