Kellogg Senior Demand Planner in Michigan

As the Senior Demand Planner you will Lead with us as you manage the long term and short term forecasting process for major brands within the Kellogg portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Business Planning, you will engage with us as you serve as a liaison between cross functional business partners to ensure that all forecasts are accurate and necessary inputs gathered. You will ensure successful fore thought in forecasting and an owner’s mindset to drive results.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Expert Forecasting – You’ll be the expert in forecasting by creating, developing and producing demand forecasts through reviewing historical sales trends and marketing, sales and financial forecasts; preparing forecast data; and evaluating forecast results. You’ll ensure all process our meet by the cross functional teams, follow and identify forecasting principles, maintain forecasting information in the system. You’ll have an in-depth understanding of statistical forecasting models and variables.

  • Collaborate and Partner – Team work will be key in this role. You’ll work hand in hand with Supply Chain providing updates and analysis to provide updates to continuous improve. You’ll work with sales, marketing, finance, and purchasing to ensure accurate current and long term forecasting. You will present and make suggestions to other cross functional teams in terms of demand and forecasts for the categories you support. You’ll also partners with Demand Planners to help provide them with direction.

  • Analyze and Measure – You will be analyzing internal demand stream information, and categorizing according to demand patterns along with imputing sales and marketing intelligence in forecast systems. You’ll prepare and present various analyses of forecasting to different business unit leader. You will have an in-depth understanding of consumption and shipment trends so that you can lead monthly consensus process for your categories

    YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

    Required:

  • Extensive work in logistics, demand planning/forecasting, supply planning, or supply chain related areas

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Statistics) or equivalent training and experience

  • Understanding of the supply/demand planning business drivers, organization structures and key metrics

  • Strong analytical and business analysis skills

  • Detailed understanding of the objectives of the advanced forecasting and planning functions

  • High proficiency working with SAP or similar database application technology required. Excellent proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Access or similar software.

  • Strong presentation and influencing skills necessary for communication with Company leadership regarding business.

  • Very strong communication skills are essential, and expertise in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation are also critical.

    Bonus Points:

  • Strong Experience with integrating activities across departments

  • Kellogg’s experience and or trade promotions experience

  • Prior experience with BW reporting APO / SNP , CRM or other SAP applications
