You will own the responsibility of the successful implementation of the business plan across all categories to drive performance in retail execution. Utilizing your business expertise, you will assist in developing and executing sales plans that meet revenue goals for both Kellogg and the customers. This will be accomplished through optimizing display merchandising, innovation launches, ad promotions and trade spend.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Account Plan Commercialization – Serving as a liaison between the account team and retail execution (internal / external) team you will communicate and deliver the plan. You will create collaboration to ensure best in class execution and compliance.
Headquarter Business Development – Developing strategies to create a successful business plan you will work closely with Meijer.
Trade Promotion Management – This position will be responsible for entering promotions and plans into the Trade Promotion Management (TPM) System.
Account Insights - Providing fact-based insights your goal is to grow sales across key categories and drive execution performance.
Business Strategy - Providing market-specific insights you will develop plans for growth, including leveraging category management, space management, procurement and net pricing.
Relationship Development – You will interact with appropriate customer contacts in support of the business. Assisting in developing and strengthening the Kellogg partnership with the Account team you will provide better analysis of retail execution insights.
Competitive Intelligence – This position is responsible for building and maintaining a deep knowledge of competitive presence within the market, including (but not limited to) competitor big bets and promotions, innovation, and customer strategy.
Category Development - Ensuring the effective positioning of the category items/ SKUs at the account you will work to drive sales and effective execution of promotions/ campaigns for the category at the accounts. You will report and act on category sales performance metrics within markets to drive established results.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Significant sales experience in consumer-packaged goods
Previous track record of exceptional leadership and results in a sales organization/ account management capacity
Previous experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally
Standing and walking for long periods may be required
Must be able to use effective verbal and written communication skills on a daily basis
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
Must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints
Ability to lead, align, resolve conflict, and work in an ever-changing environment
Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations within the last 36 months
Headquarter Sales Experience
Prior Meijer Experience and knowledge of go to market strategies
The preferred location of residency is in the Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor or in Michigan metro areas. There may be flexibility for individuals in other Meijer Market areas (Michigan, Indiana, Illinois).
A flexible work schedule including some weekends and the ability to travel up to 70% of the time may be required. This may vary depending on location of residency.
This position provides participation in the Kellogg Auto Reimbursement program for individuals driving at least 5,000 business miles annually.
