Kellogg Shipping & Receiving Manager - Manufacturing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
As a Shipping Manager in our Lancaster, PA plant, you’ll use your warehouse and distribution skills to manage our warehouse supporting the making of our delicious and sought-after brands. You will oversee timely and accurate shipments to Distribution Centers and Customers coordinating with corporate transportation, customer service, and 3rd party logistics companies. We could use your drive for continuous improvement activity throughout the warehouse department. Your pride in keeping our inventory up to snuff along with leadership skills is what we have been looking for.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Leadership – Directing, guiding, and organizing warehouse supervisors. Overseeing the activities of hourly employees through supervisors. Maintain effective relationship with the union(s) and processes grievances related to your warehouse department
Process Management – Coordinating and communicating outbound schedules within your warehouse department and put together corporate/contracted resources for success! Arrange staffing (salaried and hourly) to support your department's schedules and needs.
Shipping MVP – Maintain knowledge of carrier pool to ensure equipment availability. Communicate the needs to carriers either directly or through transportation services. You will also maintain an understanding of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize, resolve, and escalate issues identified as a potential risk to plant performance.
Vendor Relationships – Our vendors are important to our success, you’ll be flexing your relationship-building skills as you manage our partners who help our logistics operations
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School diploma/GED with significant relevant experience
Previous Warehouse Management experience
Previous Warehouse Management experience within a manufacturing setting
Proven ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage people in a fast-paced 7-day per-week operation
SAP, WMS or DLX, or similar experience
Willingness to be on call 24/7
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with significant industry experience
Food manufacturing experience
