Kellanova Smart Factory Coach in Kansas City, Kansas

If yes, come join our team as a Smart Factory Coach for the Salty Category with manufacturing sites in Kansas City, KS, Cary, NC, Cincinnati, OH and Jackson, TN, where you will be doing just that and so much more. This position can be located in our Kansas City, KS facility or remote.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to lead us into being the best as we integrate our plants with Smart Factory and Industry 4.0. You will work closely with Supply Chain and IT leadership across our Salty Category resulting in exciting collaborations. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leadership - Serving as a member of Kellanova North America KWS Smart Factory Leadership Team, the incumbent will be leading category meetings to align direction with Salty plants. Mentor Plant Digital leads and continuous improvement teams to embed management within the site to use real-time data to gain insights to take action to improve performance and reduce losses.

  • Alignment – You will be a key player in collaborating with the KWS Director Digital Supply Chain and KNA Leadership COE in implementation and adoption of industry 4.0 solutions. Perform site visits to calibrate, support, and assess according to Global standards. You will also be responsible for directly aligning with our Kellanova Work Systems (KWS) phased implementation.

  • Continuous Improvement and Development - Responsible for the standardization of implementation as part of Digital Manufacturing capability building. Developing both system and process capabilities in manufacturing teams in all category sites. Accountable for compliance with all Employee Safety, Food Safety and Sanitation policies and regulations.

  • Keeping it interesting – Position involves communication and coordination with all Kellanova Salty Cracker food plants. This position will require traveling to and working in, other manufacturing facilities. 75% of your time will involve traveling and may require work beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in Operations, Engineering or IT

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing with proven knowledge and experience in work systems methodologies.

  • Proven ability to achieve business results through process improvements and capability building through People, Process and Equipment.

  • Experience with Lean, 5S, Work Process Improvement, Problem Solving.

  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
