HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying your PLC knowledge – Constantly alternating between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on the spot machine repair
Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions - Identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis, with the help of interpreting schematics and drawings. Investigating and repairing electrical & mechanical systems such as: pneumatics, hydraulics, DC circuits, drives and conveyors.
Continuous Improvement – Making electrical improvements that impact results for the operating lines
Preventative Maintenance – Completing assigned preventative maintenance on your shift
Collaborate and Engage – Working with various departments across your assigned location at the site, including operations and support resources to deliver results meet business needs
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
2 Year Technology degree in related field (can be in the last semester of school), OR 2+ years electrical experience, OR Military experience in an advanced electronics field
Must be able to explain the following:
- PLC (Rockwell)
HMI (panel views)
Motor control systems including servos
Instrumentation (process controls)
Physically must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above waist at a maximum of fifty pounds
Availability to work all shifts on a rotating schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Ability to work at heights
Ability to read and interpret basic electrical and electronic/mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and computer programs
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Open to being task qualified and enter electrical panels to maintain related hardware
Attend training to build skills needed for the role (some travel may be involved)
2 Year Technology degree in a related field and 1 or more years of industrial electrical experience
Experience with power systems, MCC’s, networks, switches, servos, servo systems, vision systems, checkweighers, x-rays, metal detectors, process control systems, building automation systems
Experience working with project teams installing new equipment or production lines as well as completing full system checks prior to commissioning.
A sense of humor
Experience with successful controls upgrades including PLC’s and VFD’s
