Join us as a Systems Engineer at our Grand Rapids Bakery, we’ll be looking to you to contribute to the continuous technical improvement of the facility, equipment, and production systems all in support of our plant business goals. In doing so, you will program and support small to medium size projects within the plant to modify, correct and improve current programs to simply processes for our operators and supervisors. HERE’S A TASTE OFWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Youare in Control – Direct, coordinat, communicate,and interpret policy for staff to ensure that electrical projects arethoroughly planned, scheduled, scoped, estimated, and are properly staffedand implemented in accordance to plan. Develop, implement, manage technicaldocumentats and audit processes. Ensure adherence to all standard workprocesses, including K-LEAN processes, knowledge transfer, and LeanTraining. Chair the plants energy eight team.
Maintenanceis Key – Responsible for compliance with all regulations,including proper sanitary condition at all times, allergen control andpest control. Ensure technical process stabilization and control.Establish and ensure achievement of all unit KPIs; ensure adherence to andcontinuous improvement for all area MCRS elements. Be accountable forexecution of projects within assigned area; monitor project plans andstatus, communicate project or program status, work activities, andpotential problems
Be a SupportNetwork- Troubleshoottechnical related issues (Step 3 resource) and update technical SOCs andSOPs. Manage plant electrical systems and equipment to enhanceproductivity and mitigate obsolescence. Develope and maintain electricalcomponent parts history and electrical parts standardization. Maintain anunderstanding of the plant’s equipment, identify potential problems andopportunities and recommend strategic courses of action. Lead the completion of ad-hocquestions/reporting, issues, and projects
YOUR RECIPE FORSUCCESS
AssociatesDegree in a technical field with significant experience in plant systems
Proficientin Microsoft Office Suites
Proficiencyin utilizing Allen Bradley (Rockwell) PLC and Panel View programming(i.e., Panel Builder, Factory Talk, RsLogix, RsLinx, Control Logix, andMicrologix
Effectivecommunication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Possessand maintain any applicable required licenses
Abilityto manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
Abilityto troubleshoot plant controls systems, and assist the hourly techniciansin troubleshooting and maintaining plant controls systems
Abilityto read and interpret equipment drawings and schematics, equipment manualsand bills of materials
Abilityto create, maintain and modify plant AutoCAD drawings
Bachelorof Science Degree in electrical engineering/technical or other relatedfield with significant experience with plant systems
SAPMaintenance Work Order Planning, (provide components and direction for hourlyexecuted jobs)
Leadpreventative maintenance efforts for plant electrical power and distributionsystems
