Kellogg Trade Planning Analyst in ELMHURST, Illinois

In this highly visible role as a Trade Planning Analyst ,you are responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the trade strategy and trade effectiveness and efficiency plans required to deliver the net sales and operating profit goals for the Kellogg’s Away From Home/K-12 Business Unit.

  • Analysis and Reporting – You will be responsible for the development and approval of trade dollars and programs as well as reporting and analysis of trade. You will also model trade program scenarios, return on investment analysis and provides recommendations to the Trade Manager and Sales team.

  • Sales Support and Recommendations – Provide insights by evaluating the financial return, while providing recommendations on all customer pricing, allowance, and trade requests. You’ll also provide guidance and direction to the sales team to ensure trade dollars are driving performance and profitable growth aligned with the strategic business plan.

  • Strategic Partnerships – Collaborate cross functionally with corporate functional partners to gather necessary documentation required to complete bid submission and comply with specifications. Corporate functions include, but are not limited to, legal, quality, R&D, nutrition, and treasury.

  • Bid Management – Take ownership by assisting in the management of the Non-Profit and For-Profit bid process to ensure accurate, timely and financially sound pricing decisions and contract pricing integrity. You will also design the training curriculum for the bid process, while facilitating training for the sales team.



  • High school diploma/GED with relevant business experience.

  • Must have excellent time management and a high degree of organization and analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Must demonstrate sound business judgment and confidence.

  • Must be skilled in computer and software applications, which are critical in order to effectively execute the job, including Excel.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization.


  • Experience in SAP/Tibersoft

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • CPG industry experience

  • Foodservice bid, sales or customer service experience
