As a K-12 Commercial Strategy Manager for our Away From Home category, you will develop marketing strategy & execution plans for the K-12 Foodservice channel. Based in Naperville, IL, this role requires collaborating and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive strategic long-term sustainable growth.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
K-12 Marketing Strategy - You will develop measurable marketing strategies for the K-12 channel and cultivate strategic partnerships with key customers that lead to profitable growth. You will lead a cross-functional team in developing a go-to-market strategy by leveraging fact-based analysis, translating market research into usable insight, and prioritizing based upon the customer/channel impact.
Sales Plan Execution – You will lead the development of the annual sales strategy to drive sales effectiveness and efficiency and deliver the net sales and operating profit goals for the K-12 channel. You will lead the sales planning process including, but not limited to, account targeting, sales prioritization, and execution.
Serve as Channel and Customer Expert – You will develop a deep understanding of the K-12 channel (via SWOT analysis, operator and consumer target, competition, and customer strategies) and apply that understanding to develop channel plans and strategies. You will provide the voice of the customer in strategic initiatives and act as the primary contact to internal Marketing resources for the sales team. You will collaborate with the sales team to develop key account activation plans leveraging trends and category management tools.
Develop Programs and Promotions – Do you excel at partnering with team members, external agencies, and outside vendors? In this role, you will develop programs and promotions with marketing agencies and effectively manage timelines and budgets. Translate national marketing campaigns to customer-specific programs with key customers; drive the development, management, and implementation of campaigns, promotions, and innovation to support business growth within assigned channels.
Deliver Results – You will be expected to deliver volume and profit results that contribute to the achievement of the division’s overall financial objectives. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the management of marketing and overhead budgets for your assigned businesses.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Previous experience in Foodservice Marketing or Sales/Business Development
Knowledge of industry trends, channel business, and customer dynamics with the proven ability to develop marketing and execution plans that drive profitable growth.
Experience in developing consumer and business-to-business strategies and promotions.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Master’s Degree or MBA
Previous experience within the K-12 Channel
