HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Accountable for the development & deployment of Category & Shopper Strategic plans that deliver against our Deploy for Growth targets.
Partner with markets in order to develop commercial plans to deliver yearly target and identify stretch opportunities.
As the Sales and Customer voice in the team, the Category & Shopper Manager will ensure that all activities developed with the Brand team will create added value and reinforce our Category Vision.
Deploy best-in-class customer and shopper engagement strategies that are executed with excellence and deliver strong sales & financial fundamentals.
Build innovation commercial assumptions in conjunction with each Market; ensure commercial sufficiency within all initiatives & plans; share and integrate Category & Shopper inputs to the initiative toolboxes.
Closely collaborate with the Category Management teams in the countries to harness scalable opportunities & intervention plans to close off any business gaps.
Build European category channel strategies. Sales Fundamentals - Merchandising, Promo guidelines, distribution by channel, pack size and pricing strategy.
Gather and analyse category, shopper & consumer, brand and business insights, to develop commercial ideas that drive sustainable growth.
Understand and collaborate with Insights & Planning to develop joint research and apply insights to our Category Vision, portfolio approach& shopper solutions.
Build solid relationships and partner with cross functional teams, e.g. Marketing, I&P and Sales, to ensure we all challenges/inputs are considered in final plan delivery.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
The ideal candidate should have 4 to 6 years FMCG industry experience with minimum 2-4 years of sales or Marketing experience. Category management experience would be beneficial.
Preferred Master Degree in Business or related fields. Bachelor’s degree is required.
Previous experience with in market sales reporting tools like IRI/Nielsen/Kantar.
Strong numerical, analytical, interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
Proven ability to partner with the business and functions on International basis.
Financial acumen, ability to evaluate, interpret/translate financial impact, ROI and overall program performance.
Demonstrated project management experience with expertise in managing multiple projects through competing and conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Multi-cultural sensitivity and ability to lead and apply excellence in execution thinking across multiple countries and functions for the purpose of driving alignment.
Fluency in the English language is essential, ability to speak one or more additional European languages would be very beneficial.
Verbal and written communication as well as strong negotiation and influence skills towards middle management, representation of the organization, advanced tact and diplomacy.
Able to effectively engage with and influence business/functional leadership teams & commercial leads,
Displays Courage and manages conflicting agendas through fact-based resolution of debates.
