Kellogg Manager, eCommerce Solutions in Chicago, Illinois

As Manager, eCommerce Solutions, we’ll look to you to optimize business value from current and future technology platforms that deliver meaningful digital experiences for our brands and consumers. This role manages the commerce and brand-building websites for brands within the Natural and Insurgent category. You’ll need to understand an efficient technology stack, possess a willingness to challenge orthodoxy with creative solutions, and have excellent project management skills. As the dedicated technician for the N&I brands, this role will manage the day-to-day back end of each brand site, while also helping form digital strategies and define best practices. This role will interface heavily with the rest of the eCommerce team, Experience Planning, Consumer Affairs, partner agencies, and to an extent, the Brand Teams and centralized IT and eCommerce functions. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, eCommerce, and does not have any direct reports.

  • Technical Expertise – You’ll be the dedicated manager for all the Natural & Insurgent brand websites, responsible for day-to-day site operations and technical merchandising. We’ll look to you to maintain, expand, and scale websites for defined brands in the category. Remain abreast of new technologies and trends in the eCommerce retail space and incorporate them into recommendations for site enhancements.

  • Drive Results – Focus on driving revenue and engagement, with an understanding of how the D2C site experience affects business processes including P&L and go-to-market strategies. Help inform digital strategies and eCommerce roadmap, including but not limited to building website functionality, integrations, and content. Gather, develop, and refine technical requirements for minor site enhancements and extensions that deliver upon business goals. Oversee and deliver site reporting (Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics); utilize data to provide recommendations for optimization.

  • Collaborate – Work with eCommerce Marketing Manager, Email Marketing Manager, B2B Sales Leads, and Integrated Marketing to execute best-in-class web experiences for consumers and wholesale customers; in partnership, develop eCommerce roadmap and provide strategic guidance on tools needed to execute against it. Partner with Supply Chain to ensure seamless inventory availability between D2C site and distribution center. Collaborate with internal IT to ensure compliance, security, and corporate best practices are upheld for each of the brands within the category.

  • Project Management - Assist the IT team in ushering web projects through the entire project lifecycle (research/scoping, development, testing, and deployment) by working across both internal and external development resources. Provide input on project timelines, release schedules, website budget, and agency scope of work. Own relationship and build rapport with web sustainment agency to ensure trust, collaboration, and effective teamwork across internal and external development resources.



  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in related field

  • Extensive experience in website development and project management across multiple platforms, preferably 5+ years

  • Experience working in Magento

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage agency partners and vendors to lead web development roadmap

  • Highly organized and process-oriented with the ability to multi-task; strong communication skills and ability to tailor communication to different audiences; keen ability to develop, present and discuss solutions; agile mindset to overcome challenges and obstacles

  • Belief in the power of food to make a positive change in people and the world around us

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a servant mindset, and a passion for winning

    Bonus Points:

  • Intrinsic enthusiasm for natural foods, natural/organic lifestyle, and nutrition  

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, and Shopify Plus and with ticket and project management tools (JIRA or similar)

  • Proven working experience in web programming; familiarity with search engine optimization; In-depth knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript

  • Experience placing tracking tags and using GTM; Experience with A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely. Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
