Capital Equipment Procurement Category Manager

As a Capital Procurement Category Manager, you will lead the sourcing strategy development and execution within the Capital and MROS categories.   • Execution: You will develop and manage global, regional, and local strategies for the Capital and MROS categories. Ensuring alignment of strategy, execution, and process across the category will be a key to your and Kellogg’s success.

  • Partnership and Supplier Relations: You will be responsible for engaging internal and external stakeholders from a global, regional and local perspective. Developing a strong relationship with the Managed Service Providers will be key in delivering sourcing initiatives, according to the sourcing strategy and execution plan of the Procurement department. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of supplier relations and achieving responsible sourcing and supplier diversity goals.

  • Negotiation and Continuous Improvement: You’ll be responsible for achieving significant negotiated savings and year-over-year cost reductions while maintaining and improving equipment and services quality, functionality, performance, and supplier service levels. You will be responsible for Reporting and tracking savings against targets. You will be Implementing best practices and continuous improvement within the categories to drive the best value for Kellogg’s all while Enabling innovation strategies globally, regionally, and locally.



  • High school diploma with a considerable amount of strategic sourcing experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and detailed information

  • Experience in strategic sourcing including market and data analysis, long term strategy development, supplier selection, and supplier negotiations

  • Ability to work in conditions that include multiple and conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills

    Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree with procurement experience

  • MBA or master’s degree

  • Experience in Indirect Procurement, particularly in the Capital and MROS categories

  • Strong leadership skills and comfortable with conflict
