Analytics Business Analyst

The Kellogg Global Data & Analytics team are looking for skilled business analysts in multiple locations. We’re looking for talent with broad experience, who can partner with business functions and play a critical role in shaping and delivering data management and analytics solutions on our AWS platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder facing skills and can drive discussions with internal customers to understand, document, translate and help solve business and technical challenges.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Initiatives and Deliverables : Engage with global function and regional business partners, Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Data & Analytics leads to understanding, define and evaluate business requirements for new reporting and analytic deliverables. Coordinate the joint value creation and identification for key business initiatives, track and communicate value realization, and mitigate risk associated with shortfall of value realization.

  • Support and Collaborate : Support Global and Regional functions by providing thought leadership in the art of storytelling through data and analytics. Support defining the scope and feasibility of global and regional data & analytics solution requirements, to enable advanced analytics, business intelligence and reporting capabilities. Support internal GDA team members and external vendors as they design, build, and deploy analytics solutions in our global analytics platform. Collaborate closely with the Analytics Delivery team, IT Operations, Security and Architecture counterparts to ensure that solutions are well-documented, strategically aligned and sustainable. Build strong relationships with key business partners and customers, across the globe

  • All about TECH : Support the strategy and roadmap for Global, Regional and Local solutions with functional and non-functional requirements leveraging best-in-class global analytic technologies including AWS, Hadoop/Cloudera, SQL Server, R Studio and Tableau. Identify process and technology improvement opportunities & improvements to support the Platform strategy development. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical business and executive leaders. Serve as a liaison between the business community working with IT business partner or directly with business and the IT organization to translate business needs into IT requirements. Involved in all phases of the design, development and implementation of technology solutions throughout the business case and development life cycle processes.

    YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Ability to assess a situation and use logical thinking to reach a solution, by understanding business and analytics requirements and demand, advising on potential solutions

  • 4+ years’ experience in data management and analytics as a business analyst or leader

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Analytics and/or IT background – this is an IT role supporting Data and Analytics

  • Data and Analytics Technology Skills/Knowledge:

  • BI Tools – Tableau, Power BI, R Shiny/R Studio

  • AWS Data and Analytics Service

  • Beginner/Intermediate ability to query tables, search for data, troubleshoot, etc.

  • Experience in collaboration tools, project management tools and workflow tools

  • PowerPoint, Excel, and Word proficiency

  • Professional Skills and Competencies:

  • Courage, Problem Solving, Organise to Win

  • Strong communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment, both technical and non-technical

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Analytics and Business Analyst experience

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, cross functional environment with tight turnaround times for deliverables

  • Working with a local and remote team, as well as with external agencies
