Business Building – In this exciting role you will develop innovative strategies and tactics that the competition will wish they thought of. Your goal will be to increase and/or gain distribution of core and innovation items in order to address high-volume customer concerns and attain budget. You will work to assess market needs, formulate execution strategies and communicate to key personnel within the agency, customer, and internally.
Executing with Excellence – You will be responsible for managing the broker to execute headquarter plans as directed by the sales organization and agency Headquarter team. Seeking increased volume opportunities and utilizing Kellogg expertise will be essential in maximizing portfolio performance and overall category growth.
Customer Facing – Utilizing the broker for presenting to the customer you will share exciting new and existing products utilizing a full range of data and resources for sell in at store level. It will be import for you to understand the market and customer pricing strategy. You will work to ensure promotion price point integrity and parity at the shelf and influence national direction on market pricing.
Strategic Partnerships - Working through the agency team and collaborating with retail sales organization to meet objectives will be key to your success. You will work to ensure planogram compliance, shelf management and execution of retail plans through leadership of the agency retail sales force.
Internal Collaboration – Working cross functionally you will influence and partner with various areas within Kellogg including Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Marketing, Business Management and Sales.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Significant sales experience within the Consumer Package Goods or Food Industry
Very strong financial acumen necessary to establish and manage gross sales goals and promotional budget
Ability to successfully lead and manage a sales team
Very strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required, including the ability to present to influential audiences and stakeholders.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as interpersonal skills are needed in this position
Strong computer skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Incumbent must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints.
Extensive travel, including some weekends.
Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations and no DUI convictions within the last 36 months
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data using various sources (i.e. Infobaits data, Nielsen, Tableau, Salesforce etc.)
Sales experience with a brokered go-to-market model
This position will cover a geography spanning from Chicago to the Eastern US up to New England. The ideal location of residency is in the Chicagoland area. There may be flexibility for other individuals within the role’s geography area near a major airport location.
A flexible work schedule and the ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time
This position provides participation in the Kellogg Auto Reimbursement program for individuals driving at least 5,000 business miles annually.
